Rebecca is obsessed about way too many different types of creating. Take advantage of her interests! Below are different creative directions that she would like to share with others:

This Fall, Rebecca will have small workshops on the following concepts.

  • Small Hand Loom Weaving

    • Videos and in person meet ups

      • Play around with colors and textures using Rebecca’s small hand looms.

  • Introduction to Sewing.

    • Videos and in person meet ups

      • Learn how to clean, thread and use a sewing machine.

      • Sewing machines are available or you can bring your own.

  • Introduction to Natural Dye:

    • In person.

      • Part 1: We will begin with local plants and wool

        • Pokeberry and Eucalyptus leaves/bark dyed with wool

      • Part 2: Relaxing with natural dye and ink on paper. Create designs that you can really zone out to and enjoy the simple process.

  • Why Quilt?

    • Videos and in person meet ups

      • Learn how to combine colors, shapes and designs together using fabric. Learn the basics that will start you off on a great path.

  • Beginning Free Motion Quilting

    • Videos and in person meet ups

      • Learn how to turn your own sewing machine in to a quilting machine.

  • You can make yarn!

    • Videos and in person meet ups

      • Have you ever been curious on what it takes to make yarn? Learn how to spin using a drop spindle. Rebecca has some great techniques to get you started.

      • Once you get comfortable with the drop spindle, Rebecca will introduce different types of spinning wheels.

  • Make clothes that fit

    • Videos and in person meet ups

      • Try out Rebecca’s process of sewing clothing that fits your body.

      • Measure different areas of your body. Make calculations to the pattern. Cut to fit.

      • Fit the pattern and then fit the muslin.

      • Learn techniques that will make your clothing look sharp and well tailored.

  • Relaxing with handwork

    • Part 1: Learn different types of embroidery and how you can turn this in to a relaxing process.

    • Part 2: How can you use embroidery stitches to mend your own clothing?
