I created this painting while I was in a Life Drawing course at the Maine College of Art.

This was a model who was obsessed with working out. I remember him being our first model. He must have come back for another session. It was great drawing him because he could spend long periods of time holding muscles. He was really proud of what he had done with his workouts. We were a bunch of skinny artists and it was a great contrast in the classroom.
